Originally from a suburb of Atlanta, GA, I grew up in a world of my own imagination. Living my formative years in a developing neighborhood filled with plots of land sprouting half-built house frames in various stages of completion, I had free reign to explore them. Fascinated by how homes were organized and ultimately designed, I spent hours running around these open-air playgrounds imagining how life would be led once it was complete. This inspired my fascination with the manipulation of personal space and how it made you feel. Taking it into my own hands, I began a monthly bedroom rearrangement that drove my family crazy. Explaining to my Mom what all the noise was about taught me how to sell an idea…Why was my bed facing the corner of the room? Was I sure about painting the ceiling of my entirely wood paneled room, maroon? Thankfully, I was given freedom to express myself and learn through the experimentation of a 13 year old me.
