New York Theater Barn supported this lab for narrative dance pieces, each with a specific personal choreographic development goal.

This lab centered around storytelling through movement. My developmental goal of choice was to explore partnering, weight sharing and the utilization of physical improvisation. I chose to create a piece with the musical concept album The Hazards of Love by The Decemberists’ to facilitate a full story arc. I wanted to create characters with clear motivations and relationships solely through the use of movement and physical contact.
